It's winter, cold and snowy outdoors, not my favorite time of year. But it's a great time to work in the studio transforming my experiences into art. I'm getting my teeth into this new approach to tree paintings. The abstracted backgrounds are a real challenge to paint. Then the tree image has to be wet-drawn onto the surface so that the composition works as a whole. It's amazing how quickly time passes as I work at preparing for my next show.
